Business etiquette and business writing are very similar, really.

In business writing, many erroneously focus primarily on grammar rules and syntax, when audience perception is most important. Does our message provide the relevant information needed by a particular reader? That's most important.

This is not unlike business etiquette essentially being most focused on caring about others. It's not social rules alone - they are the framework for the larger goal, much like grammar and syntax are the framework for business communication.

I'm so glad we can support each other's primary mission - better interaction in the workplace. It helps everyone.
